Get this prep done first and the cook runs a lot calmer: all knife and measuring work with no heat.

2 large potatoes: peeled, ready to grate
Sausages and bacon: out of the fridge and laid out ready
Eggs: cracked into a small bowl each, ready to slide into the pan
